Chamottes

The chamottes (calcined kaolin or clay) are one of the major products in the composition of sanitaryware bodies for stoneware ("fine fire clay).

Mixtures are characterized by high stability of both particle size and expansion coefficient. Furthermore, the iron contribution to the process is minimal, allowing the production of blends and bodies free of dark dots.
