At the end of February, the first in-person meeting of the HELIACER project was held at the University of Zaragoza. Euroarce (Grupo SAMCA) participates in this initiative, which builds on the work previously carried out within the BONIFACE research project. The meeting marks a new milestone in the development of a research line focused on the integration of photovoltaic technology into ceramic cladding materials.
The meeting took place at the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragón (INMA), where researchers and participating companies advanced the technical planning of the project’s upcoming phases. During the visit, teams from Color Esmalt and Gres Aragón (both companies of Grupo SAMCA) toured the facilities to gain first-hand insight into the scientific resources and equipment that will be used during the experimental development of the project.
This first in-person meeting helped strengthen coordination between the participating entities and align the work to be carried out over the coming months. It also provided an opportunity to define key technical aspects related to the manufacturing and testing of the samples that will be developed within the HELIACER project, consolidating the transition from the conceptual phase to a more applied stage of research.
With this meeting, the project enters a new phase focused on the experimentation and validation of solutions aimed at advancing the manufacturing of photovoltaic cells on ceramic substrates, reinforcing Euroarce’s commitment to innovation and to the development of materials with new functionalities.
