We approach our operations as a comprehensive responsibility toward both the natural environment and society. We believe in sustainable mining and a responsible industry that actively contributes to building a fairer and safer world.
Sustainability
With society
Through our social programs, we view community investment as a strategic tool for development in the areas where we operate.
With the environment
We are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our activities, maintaining a preventive approach that protects the environment and reduces the overall carbon footprint.
Health and safety
Across all our operations, we prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and contractors, fostering safe and healthy environments to prevent any type of incident.
Governance
We are a Spanish, family-owned group with a century of history, grounded in the principles of good governance, business ethics, anti-corruption, transparency, and responsible decision-making.
Exemplary Mining Restorations
We complete our production cycles with the appropriate restoration of the land, developing projects that enhance the value of the area so it can have a use equal to or greater than before mining activity. We apply the best available techniques (BAT) and collaborate with social organizations to support their development.
Responsible Water Management
The production of raw materials for the ceramic industry presents the challenge of ensuring responsible water use. At Euroarce, we work across our plants and mines to keep water consumption to a minimum, promoting closed-loop systems, recirculation processes, and optimal water intake and discharge management.
Renewable Energy Consumption and Generation
We contribute to reducing fossil fuel consumption for energy production through cogeneration plants and self-consumption photovoltaic solar installations. In addition, the SAMCA Group owns renewable energy companies that generate power for supply to the grid.
Added Value for Society
We collaborate in the development of municipalities with mining operations and promote social initiatives and public infrastructure improvements within them. These efforts have enabled the launch of shared-value projects in partnership with social, educational, and environmental organizations.
