Our clays have been specifically designed for use in both Vitreous China (porcelain) and Fine fire clay (stoneware), and for both traditional and medium-high pressure casting systems.
These are special clays whose components have been specifically selected for use in the sector and which undergo an industrial process of mixing, washing, sieving, filter-pressing and drying.
Thus, homogeneity is fully guaranteed both in terms of chemical-mineralogical composition and granulometric level.
The product is normally offered in macaron form with a maximum moisture content of 12%. Lean, medium and high plasticity clays are available, characterized by the following grain size distribution:
- 40-43% < 0.5 µ
- 84-86% < 10,0 µ
The mineralogical-granulometric characteristics allow our clays a good thickness formation accompanied by optimal drainage times.
All have an excellent “workability” and breaking loads between 60 and 120kg/cm2.
